Moving Past the Builder Package

Most kitchen remodeling in Enterprise is about homes that are not old, just plain. Enterprise had 14,676 residents in 2000, 108,481 in 2010 and 221,831 in 2020, a 639% jump in the first decade alone. Houses went up by the thousands, and most came with the builder's standard kitchen: flat-panel or simple shaker cabinets, a basic laminate or entry-level granite top, no backsplash past a 4-inch strip, and a single pendant over the island. Fifteen to twenty years later, those kitchens still function, but drawer slides wear out, cabinet finishes peel near the dishwasher and the look has aged.

A town built to stay semi-rural

Enterprise was formed on December 17, 1996, after residents petitioned to preserve the community's semi-rural identity. Within a decade it had turned into one of the busiest housing markets in the region. You can still find larger custom lots on the older edges of town next to dense subdivisions, and the kitchens in those two kinds of homes need very different plans.

Jurisdiction: Clark County

Enterprise is an unincorporated town governed by the Clark County Commission, with input from the Enterprise Town Advisory Board. It is not part of the City of Las Vegas or Henderson, even where mailing addresses suggest otherwise. When a kitchen remodel includes moving plumbing, gas or electrical, Clark County is the agency we look to.

Builder-grade kitchen upgrades that make the biggest difference

1. Countertops. Replacing a thin laminate or basic granite top with quartz or a better stone changes the whole room. On solid cabinets, this can be done without touching the boxes. 2. Cabinet refacing or replacement. If the boxes are sound, new doors, drawer fronts and hardware can work. If the particleboard has swollen near the sink or dishwasher, replacement is the better call. 3. Full-height backsplash. Running tile from counter to upper cabinets is one of the most noticeable changes for the cost. 4. Flooring. Many tract kitchens have the same tile throughout the first floor. We can replace it in the kitchen alone or carry new flooring into connected rooms. 5. Island upgrades. Extending a small builder island for seating, or adding drawers and outlets. 6. Full kitchen remodels when you want the whole room redone at once.

Busy households

In 2010, about 31.6% of Enterprise households had children under 18, and the average household size was 2.58. Kitchens in family homes take a beating: lower cabinet doors, the trash pull-out, the drawer by the fridge. We point you toward finishes that wipe clean, drawer hardware rated for heavy use and countertops that do not stain easily.

Annexation and the Rhodes Ranch exception

Boundaries here have shifted. In 1997, about five square miles including Rhodes Ranch were annexed into neighboring Spring Valley. If you are not sure which town your home is in, it rarely changes how we build, but it can matter for advisory boards and county records.

Enterprise Questions

My Enterprise home was built around 2006. Is a full remodel necessary?

Not always. If the cabinet boxes and layout still work, new countertops, a full backsplash, new doors and hardware may give you most of what you want. We check cabinet condition first and price both routes so you can compare.

Is Enterprise part of Las Vegas?

No. Enterprise is an unincorporated town governed by Clark County, even though many addresses use Las Vegas. For permitted kitchen work, the county is the jurisdiction.

Can you match new flooring to the tile in the rest of my house?

Builder tile lines are often discontinued, so an exact match is hard to find. Many homeowners choose to replace the floor across the connected rooms, or pick a contrasting kitchen floor with a clean transition. We show you both options in the quote.

Do you serve all of Enterprise, including Mountain's Edge and Southern Highlands?

Yes. Both planned communities are inside Enterprise, and the whole town is part of our service area.
